Former President Mohammad Buhari has donated a cow and other food items to National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, as a gift for the Sallah celebration.
The NYSC Public Relations Officer, Mr. Alex Obemeata, disclosed that the donation reflects Buhari’s continued commitment to supporting the scheme and the community.
The state NYSC coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Sa’idu, represented by NYSC local government Inspector in Daura, Alhaji Nurudeen Salisu, received the items and praised Buhari’s gesture.
Sa’idu said, “It has been a tradition of the former president to celebrate with corps members whenever he comes home for Sallah throughout the time he was in office.”
He prayed fervently for good health and the blessings of Allah to be upon the former president and his immediate families.
The donation is a testament to Buhari’s appreciation for the NYSC members and his commitment to giving back to the community.
The gesture has undoubtedly brought joy to the corps members and reinforced the former president’s reputation as a philanthropist.
