
Former President Muhammadu Buhari and Senator Ali Modu Sheriff

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has paid tribute to Hajiya Aisa, mother of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, former Governor of Borno State, saying that she led a glorious life, and highlighting her deep influence in shaping the character and the success of her children.
She died in Abuja at the age of 93 and was buried in Maiduguri.
“There is no greater loss than losing one’s mother. My condolences to Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and the larger Sheriff family on the passing away of their mother. May Allah accept her good deeds”, Buhari was quoted as saying in a statement on Monday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu
The former President dispatched a team led by two of his former Ministers, Mustapha Baba Shehuri and Engineer Abubakar Aliyu, and a former presidential aide, Garba Shehu, to represent him at the third day prayers on Wednesday, July 3.
Muhammadu Buhari also extended his deep condolences to the Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Zulum, the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba Al Amin El-Kanemi, and the entire people of the State, on the loss of this prominent citizen.
