Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, has paid tribute to late President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a leader who promoted efficiency, accountability, and digitized government operations.
In a condolence message on Monday, Walson-Jack highlighted Buhari’s key reforms in the public sector, particularly through the implementation of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP).

A Leader of Integrity
Walson-Jack praised Buhari’s leadership, saying, “The Nigerian Public Service solemnly reflects on the loss of a leader whose values and principles redefined governance.
“His belief in merit, order, and the rule of law laid a foundation for current and future reforms in the service.”
She added that Buhari’s tenure was marked by initiatives that strengthened transparency, anti-corruption efforts, social investment programs, and infrastructure renewal.
A Lasting Impact
The HCSF described Buhari as a statesman who led with discipline, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to national service.
“His legacy will continue to shape ongoing reforms in the service,” Walson-Jack said, praying for the peaceful repose of his soul and strength for his family and the nation during this period of mourning.
