JUST IN: Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger Republic pull out of ECOWAS

Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger Republic, have officially pulled out of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The announcement, made only a while ago today, is with immediate effect.

It came in through a joint communique by the Presidents  of  the three nations.
