Nollywood actor Charles Okocha defeated street-pop singer Portable in their highly anticipated celebrity boxing rematch held on Friday at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The fight, tagged: “Unfinished Business,” ended unexpectedly after the opening round when tensions boiled over inside the ring.
Portable grabbed Okocha during an exchange of punches and took him to the canvas before the referee and security officials stepped in to restore order.
After the first round, Portable walked out of the ring despite loud boos from sections of the crowd.
Although he later returned and argued that taking Okocha down made him the winner, officials ruled that he had abandoned the contest.
Announcing the result, the host said, “We do have a decision. And due to the fact that Portable abandoned the ring after the first round, we have a winner, Mr. Algorithm, Charles.”

The rematch was arranged after Okocha challenged the outcome of their first celebrity boxing clash in December 2023, which Portable had won.
Their rivalry began over a disagreement involving an alleged unpaid business deal and later escalated into public exchanges on social media.
Ahead of the rematch, Okocha trained with heavyweight boxer Moses Itauma, while Portable prepared under boxer Taiwo “Esehpo” Agbaje and expressed confidence of another victory.
The victory gives Okocha revenge for his 2023 defeat, while Portable has now suffered back-to-back losses in the Chaos in the Ring celebrity boxing series.
