Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Aneke, on Saturday paid a compassionate visit to the two Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet pilots who sustained injuries after safely ejecting from their aircraft during a post-inspection test flight in niger State.
The pilots—celebrated across the Force for their exceptional bravery—were receiving medical care when the Air Chief arrived at the hospital. Air Marshal Aneke commended their quick thinking, professional handling of the emergency, and flawless execution of survival procedures.

According to NAF, the Alpha Jet developed an in-flight emergency shortly after takeoff, prompting the pilots to eject in line with standard safety protocols. Their actions prevented loss of life and ensured no collateral damage.
In a related development, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede , and the Chief of Defence Intelligence (CDI), Maj.-Gen. Emmanuel Undiandeye, also honoured the pilots for their gallantry and composure under intense pressure.
The visit by the Service Chiefs underscores the high level of professionalism within the Nigerian Air Force and the value placed on the welfare of its personnel.
