Renowned media entrepreneur Chude Jideonwo is putting real money behind African innovation.
Through his Fourthmainland Fund, Jideonwo has announced a $10,000 pilot investment aimed at supporting one exceptional African creator leveraging Artificial Intelligence to shape culture, tell stories, or create groundbreaking art.
“This is the first step,” said Jideonwo in a recent statement, hinting at what’s to come with the official launch of the Fourthmainland Fund in January 2026.
The move signals his broader ambition: building a sustainable ecosystem where African creativity and technology meet real, long-term funding.
The $10K investment is not just a grant—it’s a vote of confidence in creators who are pushing boundaries with AI. The focus is on originality, consistency, and work that resonates culturally.
“We’re looking for creators who challenge the status quo, spark new ideas, and reflect the pulse of African innovation,” the Fund states.
Applications are open now to creators across Africa, regardless of their medium or platform.
To be considered, applicants must pitch their work at fourthmainland.com/pitch. Submissions will close either when seven standout creators are shortlisted or by November 30—whichever comes first.
With this initiative, the Fourthmainland Fund is doubling down on its mission: equipping African creatives not just with visibility, but with actual capital and resources. It’s a bold step toward ensuring Africa’s stories are not only heard but lead the global conversation.
