The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Bauchi State Chapter, Rev. Abraham Damina, has called on Muslims in the state to use the occasion of the Eid-el Kabir Sallah to continue fervently in prayers for the challenges confronting the country, especially at this period of sacrifice.
He stressed that the fervent prayers would help in bringing an end to the insecurity bedeviling the country and for the peace of the state.
Damina who made the call in a goodwill message to mark the 2023 Eid-el Kabir Sallah, urged them to continue to pray for the peace and development of the state in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
He stated that the people of the state can only enjoy peace, growth, and development when there is security of lives and properties.
“On behalf of the entire Christendom in the state, I congratulate the Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and millions of Muslim Ummah as you celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir during which sacrifices are offered to Allah,” he said.
He expressed hope that the sacrifices of the season will restore the much-desired peace and unity the state desired as well as the peaceful coexistence among citizens.
Furthermore, he called on the people of the State not to cease in praying for bumper harvest at the end of the current farming season saying, “with divine intervention, we will soon overcome the current challenges”.
He also commended the State Governor, Bala Mohammed for carrying everyone in the state along irrespective of the religion and political differences, stressing that such is needed to move the state.
The CAN Chairman also used the medium to remind the Governor of the need for the new Christian cemetery and the completion of the CAN multipurpose Secretariat.
