Daughter of Northern Nigeria Premier, Aishatu Ahmadu Bello is dead

The Magajin Garin Sokoto, Alhaji Hassan Danbaba, a respected kingmaker of the Sultanate Council has confirmed the death of his mother, Aidhatu Ahmadu Bello in a Dubai hospital.

Aidhatu is the second daughter of the first and only Premier of Northern Nigeria who occupied office between 1954 to 1966 when he was killed in a military coup.

Danbaba who spoke to National Accord via phone, said: “It is true. My mother died this morning in a Dubai hospital”.

Speaking in a grive voice, Danaba however declined further comment about the life and memories of his mother, as according to him, further talk should be after the burial.

The premier’s daughter, Aishatu Ahmadu Bello was a widow to the late Marafan Sokoto, Alhaji Ahmad Danbaba.

Giving brief details of the developmemt, her son and Magajin Garin Sokoto’ Alhaji Ibrahim Danbaba said arrangements are being made to fly the remains of his mother from Dubai for burial in Sokoto.
