Residents of Daura, Katsina State, have paid tribute to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a man of integrity, trustworthiness, and generosity.
They commended his commitment to his faith, noting that he never missed prayers in congregation whenever he was in Daura.

Buhari’s community leaders praised his steadfastness to his faith, highlighting his consistent celebration of Eid-el-fitr and Eid-el-Kabir with the people of his immediate community.
“He was trustworthy, honest, and showed concern for people,” said Malam Ashiru Yusuf, a resident of Daura.
Tributes from Community Leaders
The ward head of Dumurkul, Buhari’s birthplace, Malam Nazir Ahmad, described Buhari as a humble leader who lived with the people in peace and respect.
“He visits our fathers here in Dumurkul, they also visit him in his home,” Ahmad said, adding that Buhari was generous and cared for his community.
Prayers for Forgiveness
The residents prayed for Buhari’s forgiveness and peaceful rest.
“May Allah forgive him and receive his soul with mercy,” Malam Nazir Ahmad prayed.
Usman Salisu, another resident, described Buhari as “honest and an advocate for honesty and trustworthiness”.
