Chude Jideonwo, award-winning storyteller and media entrepreneur, brought together some of the most influential voices in Nigeria for the first edition of #WithChude Live — a live storytelling experience rooted in healing and truth-telling. What followed was an evening filled with raw emotion, deep conversations, and unforgettable moments.
Held in Lagos, the event featured moving appearances from respected voices like Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Pastor Jerry Eze, Falz, Teni the Entertainer, Moses Bliss, Ruth Kadiri, Hauwa Lawal, and Kiekie, all of whom opened up on stage in ways that deeply resonated with the audience. From personal stories about identity and faith to real conversations around mental health, fame, and authenticity, each voice brought something unique and heartfelt.

Beyond the stage, the energy at the #WithChude event was just as powerful on the red carpet. Some of Nigeria’s most respected voices in fashion, film, and media showed up in support of honest storytelling. Renowned fashion designer Mai Atafo arrived in timeless style, embodying elegance and creative excellence. Media personality Jay OnAir brought vibrant energy and a dynamic presence, while Morayo Brown, co-host of Your View, added grace and insight as she connected with attendees. Nollywood icons Desmond Elliot and Femi Branch also graced the carpet, representing decades of influence in Nigeria’s film industry and showing their continued support for conversations that challenge, heal, and inspire.

In one of the evening’s most memorable moments, Mai Atafo took to the stage alongside Jennifer Mairo, Chief Operating Officer of Joy, Inc., the producers of #WithChude. Together, they unveiled a powerful suite of upcoming projects designed to extend Joy, Inc.’s mission beyond the screen. This included the Joy Retreat, a transformative space for emotional wellness and personal growth, and the WithChude subscription platform, which will offer exclusive content and deeper engagement with the stories audiences have come to love. The presentation underscored Joy, Inc.’s commitment to creating spaces where honesty, healing, and human connection thrive.

Panels featuring Teni, Taaooma, and Kiekie explored the realities behind success, including burnout and the pressure to always perform. Later, voices like Ruth Kadiri, Hauwa Lawal, and Moses Bliss shifted the conversation toward purpose, vulnerability, and spiritual growth.
The crowd, made up of students, professionals, creatives, celebrities, and changemakers, responded with laughter, tears, and standing ovations. Many described it as one of the most emotionally powerful events of the year.

The debut of #WithChude Live wasn’t just an event — it was a cultural reset. It proved that storytelling, when done with courage and heart, can bring people together, challenge stereotypes, and leave a lasting impact.
And this is only the beginning.
