Nigerian Army troops

Defence Headquarters (DHQ) Assessment Team has commended troops of Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY) for their relentless efforts in combating terrorists and other criminal elements in the North West and North Central regions.
Led by Major General WB Idris, the team visited OPFY Headquarters in Gusau, Zamfara State, to evaluate operational activities and reinforce inter-agency collaboration.
The visit aimed to: Ensure troops align with the operation’s objectives, boost troops’ morale, validate ongoing efforts, identify opportunities for improvement
Major General Idris praised the professionalism and coordination displayed by troops, including personnel from various security agencies.
He lauded their resilience and dedication in the face of challenging terrain and complex security threats. Idris appealed to troops to maintain their current tempo and enhance coordination among security agencies to maximize operational efficiency.
OPFY Theatre Commander, Major General Oluyinka Soyele, expressed appreciation for the DHQ Team’s visit, emphasizing its importance in strengthening field operations.
Soyele reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining operational effectiveness and motivating troops.
The DHQ team visited frontline troops in Kwotorkoshi and Tsafe, commending their efforts and encouraging them to remain focused on achieving OPFY’s mandate.
