The newly appointed Director-General, Plenipotentiary and Liaison Affairs Abuja, Dr Jimmy Ajim, formally resumed duties on Tuesday at the Benue State Liaison Office in Asokoro, with an appeal to all staff to embrace the spirit of team work in order to achieve the desired results.
Dr. Ajim, whose appointment was approved by Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State a few weeks ago, is an experienced protocol and liaison professional who only recently retired from the services of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), where he had performed similar responsibilities within and outside the country for many years.

The Director-General was received on arrival by the Acting Director of the Benue State Liaison Office, Mr Vershima Anshingu, who officially introduced and presented him to the Management and staff of the Liaison Office.

In his welcome address, Mr Vershima applauded Governor Alia for appointing such an accomplished profession and goal-getter with a track record of performance for the job of Director-General.

He later introduced the staff to the DG charged them to prioritise their schedules in line with the vision and mission of the Fr Alia Administration.

In his response, Dr. Ajim appreciated the warm reception accorded him and implored the staff to work as a team to deliver on the mandate.
He was conducted round the complex for a needs assessment and possible areas of intervention.
