Vice Chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club, Dominic Iorfa, has said the lives of Christian Chukwu and Emmanuel Okala – both legends of Enugu Rangers – have remained a source of inspiration to him and the upcoming generation.
A statement by the Media Director of the Club, Uja Emmanuel, said the ex-international acknowledged the achievements and enormous contributions these legends have made to the development of the round leather game during their days at Rangers International, Enugu.
The statement said: “It is my pleasure to join millions of well-wishers globally to celebrate these great and noble legends whose exemplary lives are worthy of emulation.”
As he assured these icons of his continued support, the NPFL board member prayed for God’s blessings upon them always.
It could be recalled that Mr. Okala and Chukwu, who are living legends, were founding members of the Nigeria Premier Football League giants, Rangers International Football Club of Enugu.
They were seeing taking the first kick as the ‘Flying Antelopes’ celebrated the 50th anniversary of Christian Chukwu as a player and captain of the former African champion
