A lawmaker in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), Mr Jacob Ajegana Kudu, has constructed a motorised borehole to provide constituents with potable water.
Kudu, who represents Nassarawa Eggon East Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), constructed the borehole in Alizaga ward in an effort to alleviate water scarcity plaguing the community.
“I am committed to improving the lives of my constituents by addressing critical issues such as access to clean water.
“The construction of this borehole in Alizaga Ward is just the beginning of our efforts to ensure that every resident has access to safe and reliable drinking water,” Kudu, remarked.
In addition to the construction of the borehole, he has further pledged to aid in the construction of a mini dam in areas affected by drought within the constituency.
This proactive measure, Kudu, said aims to mitigate the effects of drought and ensure that commuters have access to drinking water even during periods of water scarcity.
“The construction of a mini dam will serve as a vital lifeline for communities grappling with the devastating effects of drought.
“By harnessing this water resource, we can safeguard against water shortages and ensure the well-being of our constituents,” he said.
