Amazed by the crowds that thronged his village central Eid praying ground in Wamakko town today, Senator Aliyu Wamakko has appealed to all Nigerians to pray for peace, security and prosperity of the country.
Senator Wamakko, made the call shortly after observing the two Raka’ats Eid-el- Fitri prayer, to mark the end of the Ramadan fast, 1443 AH in his home town.
Leading this year’s prayer, the Chief Imam of Wamakko Local Government,, Liman Shehu Ardo Wamakko, task Muslim ummah to love humanity not minding the religion, creed, political affiliation, gender or region.
The visibly happy Senator Wamakko, seeing how thousands of beautifully dressed and elated celebrants were chanting Sai Aliyu, Sai Aliyu!!! shortly after the prayer was rounded off, thanked them for the the continues show of love and support.
Senator Wamakko who appealed to all and sundry to embrace peace and continue to imbibe the lessons learnt from the just concluded 30 days fasting, added that Nigeria is a great country with great people, hence the need for support one another.
Notable among dignitaries that graced the Eid prayer with Senator Wamakko at the home town were Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Ambassador Sahabi Isa Gada, the Executive Secretary, Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, serving and former Sokoto members of National and state assemblies.
Others were the Special Assistant to the Senate President, Alhaji Bala Hassan, Director General National Teachers Institute, Professor Musa Garba Maitafsir, the State Chairman of APC, Alhaji Isa Sadiq Achida, all State and local governments executives of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Also present were Chiroman Wamakko and National President of the Real Estate Development Association of Nigeria ( REDAN) ,Alhaji Aliyu Oroji Wamakko, Alhaji Bello Abubakar Wamakko, Commissioner, Revenue Mobilization and Fiscal Commission(RMFAC), and Former Executive Secretary Arabic and Islamic Education Board Alhaji Ahmad Baba Altine ,among others.
