Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu MC, better known as Mother Teresa, was an Albanian-Indian Catholic nun and the founder of the Missionaries of Charity.
The Resident Pastor, Shepherd House Assembly International, Jos, Rev. Tajan Moltok, has urged Christians to emulate the sacrificial lifestyle of Mother Teresa.
Moltok gave the advice in his sermon titled ”Living a Life of Impact” on Sunday in Jos .
He explained that Mother Teresa, an Albanian-Indian Catholic nun, dedicated her entire life in serving others.
”She founded the Order of the Missionaries Charity dedicated to assist the indigents and the elderly in addressing their afflictions and improving their welfare,”he said
He called on Christians to strive toward doing good at all times, particularly by serving others.
The cleric further called on Christians to leave behind footprints that will stand the test of time, adding that such move would make the world a better and safer place for all.
He, however, advised Christians to arm themselves with the requisite knowledge in various fields, so as to remain relevant in the society.
‘’To make impact, you must also have the knowledge. Updating your knowledge is critical toward being relevant in the society,” he said.
The cleric also advised Nigerians to emulate Martin Luther King Jnr., who played key role in the civil rights movement in America and Tabitha in the Bible, who took care of orphans and widows .(NAN)(
