The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it would present Certificate of Return to winners of Feb. 12 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Councils Poll on Friday.
INEC FCT Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Alhaji Yahaya Bello, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
“All chairmen and secretaries of the 14 political parties, and the successful candidates at the just concluded election for chairmen and councillorship are hereby invited for the presentation of the Certificate of Return.
“This will hold on Friday, Feb. 18, at the FCT INEC Head Office, Area 10, Garki, at 9: 00 a.m. prompt, ”he said.
Recalled that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won three chairmen seats each at the poll conducted across the six Area Councils of the FCT.
The APC won in Gwagwalada, Abaji and Kwali, while the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won in Abuja Municipal Council (AMAC), Kuje and Bwari.
