Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (MPWB) has announced December 1, 2025, as the final date for intending pilgrims to complete their payments for the 2026 Hajj.
This was revealed in a statement issued in Abuja by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Aliyu, who also confirmed the release of the revised Hajj fare.
According to Aliyu, the new approved fare for the 2026 pilgrimage is ₦7.69 million, as approved by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
He emphasized the importance of early payment, noting that, “Intending pilgrims who wish to perform Hajj through the Board should ensure full payment before the deadline to secure their slot for the spiritual journey.”
Aliyu further explained that all transactions must be made through bank drafts, as the Board will not accept cash payments.
He added that timely payments will help the Board compile the final list of participants and ensure the prompt remittance of funds to NAHCON.
The spokesperson also disclosed that the Board is in talks with service providers in Saudi Arabia to secure quality feeding and comfortable accommodation for FCT pilgrims during their stay in Makkah.
According to him, these efforts reflect the Board’s commitment to offering the best possible welfare and services to its contingent for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
