Fleeing bandits on Thursday night killed two persons in Wulko community of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Those killed are Ango Habakkuk, a.k.a (Ango Gentle), a technician and Ewuga Williams, a security man, who are best of friends and both residents of Wulko community.

A resident of Wulko, who begged for anonymity, said the suspected kidnappers were fleeing from their hideout in a neighbouring village following police invasion, when they ran into the two young men and gunned them down.

It was gathered that a local farmer discovered the hideout of the kidnappers where they abduct and keep their victims for ransom, so he alerted the Police, who in collaboration with local Vigilante invaded the hideout in a nearby village called Ogba.

According to the eyewitness, on sighting the Police, the gunmen took to their heels, leaving behind their victim, who is a lecturer with the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Isaac Igbawua.

Recalled that the Nasarawa State Police Command in a statement on Friday, issued by its spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the rescue of the lecturer, who was kidnapped at his residence on Wednesday night at the Old Barracks, in Kokona LGA of the State.

Our correspondent gathered that Ewuga Williams has since been buried in accordance with Christian rites, while the body of Ango Habbakuk, is still in the morgue at OLA Hospital, Akwanga, in Nasarawa State. Bandits Nasarawa
