Former Karu LGA chairman canvases support for APC

The immediate past chairman of Karu Local Government Council, Mr. Samuel Akala Ganere has solicited support for the election of Mr.James Thomas to succeed him in office as chairman in the forth in- coming Local Government elections in Nasarawa State scheduled to hold on November 5, 2021.

Mr. Akala Gajere who also participated in the primary elections to reclaim his seat but was advised by the stakeholders to step down for James Thomas, promised at a meeting in Karu to work for the emergence of a candidate in his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to win

The former council boss told a gathering of hundreds of his supporters at Karu LGA Secretariat, that apart from the love he has for his party, the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdulahi Sule had intervened and asked him to step down for the interest of peace and has assured him of something better, hence the reason to close rank with candidate nominated by his party.

He appealed to his teeming supporters to remain calm and give their maximum support for Mr. James to emerge victorious at the polls.

He boasted that already the have chased the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) out of Karu Local Government Area and promised to defeat other parties in the forth coming local government elections.

Some representatives from Karu, Karahi, Panda zones that constitute Karu LGA, both expressed the readiness of their people to work for the emergence of the APC candidate to win because of the respect they have for the minister and the governor whom they said has done so much for them.

In his speech at the occasion, the in-coming chairman of Karu Local Government council, Mr. James Thomas, said he has tremendous respect for Mr. Akala Gajere whom he has stepped down for him at different contests in the past and promised to carry everyone along when he finally wins.

He also promised to run an open door administration and will give appointments to some of them as a mark of respect he had for Mr. Akala.
