Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has mourned the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a condolence message on Monday, Fubara described Buhari as a disciplined leader, a man of integrity, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s unity and progress.
Fubara highlighted Buhari’s significant contributions to national development and leadership, particularly his focus on anti-corruption, national security, and infrastructure renewal.
“The late president left behind a legacy of service, sacrifice, and patriotism that would be remembered by generations to come,” he said.
The suspended governor reflected on Buhari’s impactful career, both as Military Head of State and democratically elected President.
“Buhari’s place in Nigeria’s political history was as a leader who served with sincerity of purpose,” Fubara stated, praying for the peaceful repose of his soul and strength for his family and loved ones.
Fubara extended his sympathy to Buhari’s family, President Bola Tinubu, and the Government and people of Nigeria, describing the former President’s demise as a significant loss for the nation.
