Gov Abdullahi Sule, of Nasarawa State, had approved the re-appointment of the Secretary to State Government, Barr Aliyu Ubandoma.
The re-appointment of Ubandoma, was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in charge of Cabinet Affairs and Special Duties, in the office of SSG, Mohammed Iliyasu Idde.
Barrister Ubandoma, who holds the title of Wazirin Lafia, was first appointed in June, 2020 after the sack of the then holder of the office, Tijjani Aliyu Ahmed.
Similarly, the governor had approved appointment of some number of his aides which include – 6 Senior Special Assistants-SSA, 11 Special Assistants-SA’s and 11 Personal Assistant- PA’s.
In the meantime, the earlier planned inauguration of the twenty four members-elect for Nasarawa State House of Assembly, scheduled for today have been postponed.
A statement signed by the Acting Clerk of the House, Ibrahim Musa, indicates that the postponement was because of security advice issued to the Governor Abdullahi Sule.
“The Acting Clerk, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Musa, wish to inform all Hon. Members – elect and the General public that based on security advice the scheduled inauguration of the first session of the 7th Assembly as directed by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule is hereby postponed”
“In view of the above, a re-scheduled time will be communicated to all Hon. Members – elect and the general public”
“We regret any inconveniences this postponement may have caused” the statement said.
