Tragedy struck in Aloshi town of Keana local government area of Nasarawa State, when gunmen invaded the community, killed one Mr. Stephen Kwaghtomun a.k.a (Action), aged 37 and abducted his 27 years old wife.
The sad incident happened around 11:30 pm Tuesday night when the gunmen stormed the residence of the deceased, shot sporadically and killed him before taking his wife to an unknown destination.
An eyewitness who begged for anonymity, said the alarming event raises serious concerns about security in the community and it soroundings.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Nasarawa State command, SP Nansel Ramhan, confirmed the ugly incident to our correspondent in Lafia.
“The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Keana division, confirmed the ugly incident. It happened around 11:30pm, when gunmen suspected to be kidnappers stormed the residence of one Stephen Kwaghtomun, 37, killed him and took the wife, 27 to an unknown destination” he said.
According to him, Police has deposited the corpse of the deceased at the General Hospital Obi, while they had since launched manhunt of the gunmen.
