Afrobeats legend, Innocent Idibia, famously known as 2Baba, has finally addressed the biggest misconception people have about him.
In a recent interview with the Voice of Nigeria (VON), the award-winning singer talked about the long-standing idea that he’s a womanizer.
He laughed when the topic came up and referenced the opening line from his 2018 hit Amaka featuring Peruzzi, “I like woman, I dey straight forward.” He said he definitely loves women, but that doesn’t mean he chases every woman he sees.
“Yes, I like women,” he said with a grin.
“But I’m not a womanizer.”
2Baba explained that there’s a difference between being open about appreciating women and being reckless or disrespectful. He described himself more as a lover boy than the stereotype people sometimes put on him. “I love hard”, 2baba further expressed.
Over the years, his love life has often been the talk of social media and headlines, from past relationships to his marriage to Natasha Idibia. But in this interview, he seemed relaxed, even amused by the whole conversation.
At the end of the day, he just wanted people to understand that liking women doesn’t automatically make him a womanizer.
