Insecurity: Bauchi Govt. procures 50 vehicles for security agencies to tackle crime

Bauchi State Government has purchased 50 vehicles for distribution to security agencies in the state in order to enhance their operations of securing lives and properties.

Governor Bala Mohammed disclosed this on Monday at Dindima, while answering questions from journalists at the end of a three day inspection tour of projects awarded by his administration since its inception about two years ago.

Governor Mohammed who was reacting to a question asked on his statement to residents of Alkaleri LGA of the state on the need for them to be more security conscious and look out for new settlers in their communities.

He said: “The security challenge is a national issue and I am very cautious of the pronouncement I made recently, so I don’t want to go into any controversy, Nigerians are free to settle anywhere. People coming from any part of the country are free to settle”.

“Certainly, we carry due diligence and in doing that, we will not allow criminality to thrive, we will make sure that the key is that our security agencies, our community vigilante group will ensure that no criminals stay with us”.

“Already, we are talking to our traditional leaders, our local vigilante in addition to the established security agencies to ensure that we increase surveillance, monitoring and evaluation”.

“We have even procured 50 security vehicles and in the next two weeks, we will give our security agencies do that they can be able to do the job they are supposed to do.”
