A renowned Islamic scholar and leader, Khalifah Aliyu A. Abulfatihi, has urged Nigerians to prioritize prayers for peace, unity, progress, and stability in the country, regardless of their religious, political, ethnic, or regional backgrounds.
He made this call while serving as the chairman of the 3rd Annual Celebration of SHABABUL FAIDAH FIRST AID JAM’IYYATU ANSARIDDEN (ATTIJANIYYA), which took place on Sunday at the Khalifah Aliyu Abulfatihi Mosque in Maiduguri. The event also commemorate the begining of the Islamic New Year (Hijri) 1446.
Khalifah, who was was represented by Sheikh Imam Murrala Abulfatihi, emphasized the importance of leaders being just, fair, and God-fearing in their duties, serving the people transparently and responsibly.
He also stressed the need for leaders to create job opportunities and provide basic needs like food, education, healthcare, roads, and housing to address the widespread poverty affecting many Nigerians.
The cleric advised parents to be vigilant and responsible for their children’s conduct, ensuring they avoid social vices and misdeeds.
He highlighted the significance of gratitude, fairness, and justice in life, which can lead to faithfulness and submission to God Almighty.
Khalifah commended the organizers and contributors to the event’s success, which included lectures on Islamic calendar, worship, doctrine, discipline, and moral conduct. Guest speakers emphasized the need for fear of God, justice, fairness, and belief.
The Deputy Director of NDLEA, Borno State Command, represented by Bukar Modu, warned parents and leaders about the dangers of drug abuse among children and youths, stressing the need for guidance and care.
While the Guest Speakers, Imam Barr. Ali Isa Fezzan and Sayyada Hafsat Sheikh 1brahim Saleh A-Hussaini delivered lectures on the origin and formula of Islamic calendar, worships and doctrine of Islam as well as discipline, moral conduct, faith and belief.
The Acting State Chairman and State Coordinator of the organization, Sheikh Ahmad Abulfatihi Usman Dogo, thanked attendees for their participation and highlighted the group’s community services in health, education, skills acquisition, poverty alleviation, and job creation.
The event also featured Quranic recitation, Diwani songs, a first aid members’ parade, and photographs.
