Kanekalon, the Japanese fibre giant collaboration workshop with Hair Stylist and Beauty Expert Association of Nigeria – HABEAN dreams to the end of the partnership series in March, 24th 2025 with Darling in Sweet Spirit Hotel, Stadium Road, Port Harcourt, provided solutions to the work easier for stylists in the industry.
Kanekalon representative, Barbara Diana Twum said Kanekalon has transited to provide solutions, and also listed the unique features of the Kanekalon brand which distinguishes it from others to include; soft to touch, easy to braid, hot water set or hot water friendly, flame retardant, time saving and loved for 65 years.
The Founder of HABEAN, Mrs Beauty Okeku in her remarks thanked Kanekalon for believing in her and also Darling for giving her a listening ear and bringing the workshop to Port Harcourt.
Okeku said the association comprises beauticians in the country, charged the beauticians to believe in themselves and be creative.
While stating that their relationship with the brand has been fantastic and urged stylists to patronise the brand; she however, appealed for price adjustment to enable more members to patronise the brand.
The Port Harcourt Coordinator of HABEAN, Mr Allen Kenneth on his part gave an introduction of dignitaries and also welcomed participants to the workshop and urged them to continue to attend workshops to garner more knowledge.
During the Kanekalon presentation, the representative of Kanekalon, Barbara Diana Twum introduced the brand to participants and said Kanekalon has rebranded to “Extend Your Story”.
She also said Kanekalon has added more fibre to their products to improve the lives of their clients and customers by making the work easier for stylists.
The Darling representative, Mrs Biola Yaqub, in her presentation mentioned that Darling has two new products namely; Darling Super Star and Darling Duchess listing features of the new products to include; soft, silky, hot water friendly, crisps well, saves time.
Biola said Darling Super Star has about 13 different colours, and that Darling has made it easy to blend colours by introducing new mixed varieties of attachments also noted that the Darling Duchess has the regular cuts and pre-stretch.
The question and Answer Session provided further details on the benefits of using the products, how to look out for fake and locations to get the products in Port Harcourt by both Barbra the Kanekalon representative and Mrs Biola, the Darling representative.
The collaboration workshop climaxed during the practical sessions were Hairstylists were rewarded for crafting beautiful hairstyles and for their attention to details throughout the workshop.
Finally, on behalf of HABEAN a member in the closing remark and appreciated Kanekalon for the workshop and also assured of further partnership.
Among the attendees were the executives and members of HABEAN, AH&B representative, Kanekalon and Darling representatives.
