The Japanese fibre giant, Kanekalon continues in its streak to setting new standards in the hair business in Nigeria as the collaboration workshop with The National Association of Hair & Beauty Practitioners of Nigeria (NBHA), on Monday this week took the capital city of Ibadan by storm with an overwhelming presence of stylists.
The National Association of NBHA President, Chief Mrs Toyin Oladapo, in her opening remarks, noted that the significant role the association has played in hairstylists in the state during the workshop at Genesis Hotel & Suite Hall, Challenge Molete Road, beside Fire Service, Ibadan will pave a way for more innovation in the industry.

Earlier, in declaring the workshop open the NBHA Community Leader, mentioned the purpose of the collaboration which is to motivate hairstylists to improve in their chosen creative career and to own a space in the hair business.
The Kanekalon representative, Miebi Egbebo, in her address introduced X-Pression, reinforcing that all brands under the partnership are part of one family. While speaking on a lighter note acknowledged her Ghanaian and Nigerian heritage as a strong attribute and also thanked NBHA for the collaboration.
The X-Pression representative, Mr. Adura, introduced the company’s products, including the newly launched GEM BRAID, a premium fiber product and highlighted its exceptional features and benefits, ensuring hairstylists became familiar with its qualities.
He demonstrated how to provide real-world feedback, inviting stylists to share their experiences with GEM BRAID, and they all affirmed the product’s quality and effectiveness.
Mr. Audra warned stylists not to buy from street vendors but directly from accredited distributors for cheaper price and stated the benefits of the products which is an improved product and concluded with the Q&A session, enlightening them on product benefits, and ensuring they were well-equipped with the necessary knowledge.
The NBHA President, in her closing remarks appreciated the X- Pression partnership and urged them to strengthen their relationship with NBHA, fostering a more robust and mutually beneficial partnership.
