The Peace Ambassadors Centre for Humanitarian Aid & Empowerment, in collaboration with the British Council, Borno Investment Company Limited, and other partners, has successfully organized a “Made in Borno” Products and Services Exhibition.
The event, held on Sunday at the Borno State Hotel Multi-Purpose Hall, showcased the incredible locally made products from artisans, manufacturers, and entrepreneurs in the community.

Executive Secretary of the Borno State Agency for Humanitarian Aid and Sustainable Development Response, Dr. Babakura Mamman Gadai, emphasized the importance of patronizing locally produced and manufactured products to harness local and regional growth and development.
“It is essential that we support our local producers and manufacturers to promote economic growth and development in the state and region,” he said.

The exhibition, themed “Reviving Borno: Honoring Resilience and Innovation in Entrepreneurship,” featured colorful displays of various products, including textiles, crafts, and food items.

The event aimed to promote local businesses, foster regional trade, and create job opportunities, aligning with Governor Babagana Umara Zulum led administration’s 25-year Development Master Plan.

Executive Director of the Peace Ambassadors Centre, Ambassador Ahmed Shehu, commended the collaborating partners, including the British Council and Borno Investment Company Limited, for their support and assistance.

“This event offers a unique opportunity for local businesses to gain visibility, engage in valuable networking, and contribute to the sustainable peace and economic development of Borno State,” he said.

The exhibition also featured remarks from representatives of the British Council, Borno State Investment Company Limited, and the National Productivity Center, who all emphasized the importance of supporting local businesses and promoting economic growth in the region.
