
Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu

The Special Adviser to Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu on General Duties, Ekpeyong Akiba has given back to his constituents over six million naira.
The empowerment took place over the weekend in his country home Okonyong in Odupkani local Government Area of Cross River State. It was witness by bigwigs of the Governor Otu led administration
Speaking while flagging off the empowerment, Akiba said he was doing it in line with the People’s First agenda of the Governor
According to him, he used his birthday to show love to his community as over 50 persons benefited from the empowerment programme.
Akiba received substantial support from key local government leaders, including the Chairman of Odukpani Local Government, the Chairman of Akamkpa, and the former Mayor of Calabar Municipality, each of whom donated ₦1 million to his cause.
Also speaking during the event, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Gill Nsa; the Special Adviser to Governor on Media and Publicly, Linus Obogo; the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Cross River State Council, Archibong Bassey; the Director general of Cross River State Microfinance Development Agency (MEDA,) Great Ogban; and the Special Adviser to Governor on Project Monitoring , all spoke of the good legacy ofAkiba and his relationship with the media, wishing him long life and God’s guardian in the years ahead.
