As the world commemorates Workers’ Day 2025, TAFAfrica celebrates the resilience and contribution of workers across Nigeria, Africa, and globally—particularly persons with disabilities.
In a statement by its Founder and CEO, Dr. Jake Epelle, TAFAfrica emphasized the need to prioritize inclusive labour policies, accessible workplaces, and equal opportunities for all, especially for marginalized groups.
“Workers with disabilities are not liabilities—they are assets to our workforce and our future. Inclusion is not charity, it is justice,” Dr. Epelle said.
TAFAfrica urged the enforcement of the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act and called on public and private sectors to invest in inclusive systems that honour ability, dignity, and determination.
The organization reaffirmed its commitment to promoting decent work, social protection, and equity for all workers.
