The Naira has appreciated against the US dollar at the official market, trading at N1,547.36 to a dollar.
According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Naira gained N2.05, representing a 0.13% increase compared to Thursday’s rate of N1,549.41.
This gain marks a positive trend for the Naira, which opened the week with a 0.3% gain on Monday and closed the trading week stronger on Friday. Despite slight depreciations on Tuesday and minimal losses on Wednesday and Thursday, the Naira’s overall performance for the week remains positive.
The local currency’s appreciation is a welcome development for the economy, and investors will be watching to see if this trend continues.
