Kaduna State Police Command has clarified a viral video showing a young APC supporter attempting to access a restricted area during President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Kaduna.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, Mansir Hassan, the individual in the video is Umar Mohammed, a mentally challenged native of Kaduna who is a devoted supporter of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.
“The video was doctored to misrepresent the incident and mislead the public,” Hassan said, adding that Mohammed’s actions were driven by anxiety and a deep emotional desire to meet the leaders.
A thorough search was conducted, and nothing incriminating was found in his possession.
The Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, has warned against spreading misinformation or politicizing security matters, and the Command is investigating the source of the false narrative.
