Senator Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels
Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly, has addressed the explosive claims made by his wife, actress Regina Daniels, who in a viral video accused him of physically assaulting her.
According to Premium Times, Daniels—who became Nwoko’s sixth wife in 2019 and shares two children with the 64-year-old—said she could no longer endure what she described as ongoing domestic abuse.
Responding to the allegations in a statement shared via his official X account on Sunday, Mr. Nwoko dismissed the claims as “unprovoked carnage and rampage,” attributing his wife’s recent actions to alleged substance abuse.
“Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem,” he wrote. “She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs. I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence.”
The senator further alleged that Daniels has been violent in recent days, claiming she attacked three of their staff members and caused significant property damage.
“Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting three staff in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause,” he added. “The truth is, I have set a clear condition for her to accept rehab in Asokoro or outside Nigeria, especially Jordan, where she will not have access to drugs.”
In a further twist, Mr. Nwoko accused Daniels of threatening their resident nurse after the nurse reportedly exposed her alleged drug use. He also claimed that Sammy West—widely believed to be Daniels’ brother—was actually her primary drug supplier.
“A clear-headed Regina would have taken Moon to the hospital, but instead she even threatened to kill our resident nurse (for exposing her drug abuse). While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he alleged.
Following Daniels’ initial video, Sammy West took to Instagram, accusing the senator of physically attacking his sister and deploying thugs to harass their family. He also claimed it wasn’t the first time such an incident had occurred.
This controversy comes just weeks after the couple shared a seemingly playful moment on social media. In a recent Instagram clip, Daniels posted a prank video in which Nwoko walked in on her in the restroom while a provocative song played. Despite appearing annoyed, the senator later commented humorously under the post, writing, “This wife of my old, as I call her. Come here.”
As of press time, Regina Daniels has not issued any response to her husband’s allegations.
