Nigeria records 137 new cases of COVID-19

A total of 137 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections were recorded in Nigeria on Tuesday, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The health agency made this known in the daily update via its official twitter handle @NCDCgov.

It added that with the new cases, Nigerian now has 63,173 confirmed COVID-19 infections, out of which 59,634 cases had been discharged with 1,151 deaths recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country.

A breakdown of the 137 new cases shows that Lagos alone has 60 cases, followed by Abia-21 and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)-18.

The remaining cases, according to the NCDC, came from Rivers-13, Kaduna-5, Oyo-4, Edo-3, Delta-2, Imo-2, Kano-2, Ogun-2, Bauchi-1, Gombe-1, Nasarawa-1, Niger-1 and Osun-1.
