NUJ Borno Council congratulates newly appointed media aids to Gov. Zulum

The Nigeria Union Journalists (NUJ), Borno State Council has Congratulated Mallam Isa Umar Gusau and Hon Baba Sheik Haruna on their reappointment as Special Adviser SA Communications & PR Strategy and Senior Special Assistant SSA on Media respectively to his Excellency Governor Babagana Zulum.

A statement issued and signed on Tuesday by Ali Chiroma Ibrahim, Secretary of Council, said the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Dauda Iliya on behalf of entire practicing journalists in the state lauded the Governor for reappointing seasoned journalists who are still playing active role in programs of the union in the state.

Comrade Iliya added that considering their pedigree and professional background, the appointees would no doubt bring their vast wealth of experience garnered over the years in projecting and promoting the image of the Governor as well as continue to bridge communication gap to avoid giving room for fake news and misinformation.

NUJ Borno State Council equally felicitated with its one-time Council Secretary, Umar Mohammed Tijjani on his appointment as the General Manager of Borno Radio Television Corporation.

However, the Union recalled the role played by the new General Manager to the growth and development of Union in the state and urged him to work assiduously towards repositioning the station to enable it regain its lost glory.

The Union reaffirmed its commitment to all the appointees of unflinching support and cooperation while wishing them successful tenure in office.
