Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke

Osun chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has declared its support for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s decision amid speculation of his possible defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor’s spokesperson, Malam Olawale Rasheed, disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday in Osogbo.
Mr. Rasheed said the PDP caucus unanimously backed Adeleke’s decision during a meeting in Osogbo.
“We will support your decision, and we will follow you wherever you go,” the caucus effectively told Adeleke, according to Rasheed.
The meeting, attended by members of the national and state assemblies, the state executive council, party executives, special advisers, elders, and the state chapter of ALGON leadership, also passed a vote of confidence in Adeleke’s leadership.
The caucus commended Adeleke’s leadership style and performance in office, urging him to continue consultations with stakeholders locally and nationally.
While recognizing that the governor is still weighing his options, the PDP caucus has pledged to stand by his decision.
