Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the postponement of its 103rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, which was initially slated for Wednesday, October 15.
This update was shared by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.
According to Ologunagba, the decision to shift the meeting was reached during an emergency session of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) held earlier that day, citing recent developments within the party.
“The postponement was approved by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) at its emergency meeting on Monday in view of recent developments in the party,” the statement read.
He further clarified that the NWC acted in line with its constitutional authority under Section 29 (2)(b) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).
“All NEC members should please note the postponement and be guided accordingly,” Ologunagba added.
A new date for the rescheduled NEC meeting will be communicated to members in due course.
