In a move to foster deeper internal harmony, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has deferred its planned 2025 repeat congresses at the ward, local government area (LGA), and state levels in Anambra and Ebonyi states.
The announcement came via a statement from PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, issued on Friday in Abuja.
Originally set for Saturday, September 20; Wednesday, September 24; and Monday, September 29, the updated schedule will be shared soon, Ologunagba noted.
The postponement stems from the party’s push for expanded consultations with leaders, stakeholders, and members in both states, aiming to guarantee a seamless process.
“All aspirants, leaders, stakeholders and members of our party in Anambra and Ebonyi, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, democracy development partners, the media and the public should take note accordingly,” Ologunagba emphasized in the release.
He further called on PDP faithful in the affected regions to stay cohesive.
He urged all PDP members in the two states to remain united and continue to work together for the overall interest and progress of the party.
