
Crime suspect in police handcuff

Kaduna State Police Command has announced the arrest of a notorious bandit leader, Mati Bagio 34, who had evaded capture for 11 years.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, announced this in a statement issued on Friday in Kaduna.
DSP Hassan said the suspect was apprehended at his residence in Unguwan Galadima, Shika District, Giwa Local Government Area.
He stated that a significant cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the suspect’s residence, including AK-47 rifles, pistols, and magazines.
He said, “The suspect is a notorious bandit leader who terrorised Kaduna and Katsina States along Giwa, Hunkuyi, Faskari, Dandume, and Funtua Local Government Areas.”
The police spokesperson assured that efforts are being intensified to arrest the fleeing gang members.
He said, “The suspect is currently in police custody and undergoing further investigation, after which he will be charged to Court.”
The police also reported the recovery of a stolen Toyota Prado Jeep and the arrest of suspected motorcycle thieves. ….
The Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, commended the officers for their swift response and urged the public to continue cooperating with the police.
