The Nasarawa State Police Commissioner, CP Maiyaki Baba, has presented cheques worth thirty six million, nine hundred and twenty three thousand, nine hundred and eighty four naira, forty eight kobo (N36, 923, 984. 48) to eight deceased police officers families in Nasarawa State.
CP Maiyaki Baba, who presented the cheques on behalf of the Inspector-General (IG) of Police, urged them to judiciously use the money to better the lives of the families left behind.
Public Relation Officer (PPRO) of the command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.

CP Baba said the gesture is an initiative of the Inspector-General of Police ‘’ Family welfare scheme and Group Life Assurance’’ aimed at improving living standard of the families of Police operatives that lost their lives in the line of duty.
”The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Maiyaki Muhammed Baba, has today April 5, 2023 on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Usman Baba, psc (+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR presented cheques worth thirty six million, nine hundred and twenty three thousand, nine hundred and eighty four naira, forty eight kobo (36, 923, 984, 48) to families of Police operatives who died while in active service .”
While presenting the cheques, the Commissioner of Police appreciated the Inspector-General of Police for the gesture and urged the beneficiaries to judiciously use the money to carter for the family left behind.
One of the beneficiaries, Mr Amos Apollos, appreciated the Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police for the gesture and promised to make good use of the money .
