A Nigerian Navy Officer, Lt.-Cdr. M. Buba, has been brutally stabbed to death by a hoodlum in Kaduna State.
NATIONAL ACCORD gathered that the incident occurred near Kawo flyover at around 4:50 am on Sunday.
According to the police, the suspect attacked and robbed Buba of his mobile phones.
However, an angry mob overpowered and beat the suspect to death.
The police spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, confirmed that Buba suffered stab wounds and was declared dead at Manaal Hospital.
According to him, another individual, Mr. Suleiman Dahiru, who attempted to help Buba, was also stabbed in the hand and is receiving treatment.
Hassan assured that investigation and monitoring are ongoing to ensure justice is served.
“The body of late Buba has been deposited at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital mortuary,” he added.
“The police are working tirelessly to uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident and bring perpetrators to justice,” Hassan said.
