Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) started fast and quickly put Chelsea on the back foot, winning 3-0 on the night and 8-2 over the two legs to reach the next round of the Champions League.
Chelsea went into the match already behind from the first leg and were without Reece James, who suffered an injury just before kick-off.
PSG punished them straight away.
In the 6th minute, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia poked the ball home after a defensive slip to give the visitors the lead. Nine minutes later, Bradley Barcola doubled the advantage with a sharp counter, leaving Chelsea chasing the game.
The Blues struggled to settle after that.
PSG kept control of the ball, moved it quickly, and looked dangerous every time they attacked. Chelsea had a few half-chances but nothing that seriously troubled the PSG goalkeeper.
In the 62nd minute, Senny Mayulu finished calmly to make it 3-0 and put the result beyond doubt.
Across both legs, PSG were sharp, clinical, and relentless, taking advantage of Chelsea’s mistakes at every opportunity.
The 8-2 aggregate score tells the story: PSG dominated, Chelsea were exposed, and the European campaign for the Blues ends in disappointing fashion.
