Member of the House of Representatives for Gwer East/ Gwer West federal constituency, Dr Asema Achado has hailed the appointment of Professor Aondover Tarhule as the 21st President (Vice Chancellor) of Illinois State University, USA, describing it as a well-deserved appointment.
A statement by the Personal Assistant to Achado on Media and Publicity, Mr Mendah Manasseh said the Federal Lawmaker lauded the academic prowess, distinction, and sterling qualities earned by Prof. Aondover Tarhule over the years, positioning him as the foremost academic internationally.
Dr Achado, according to the statement, expressed profound satisfaction that the uniqueness, brilliance, diligence, enterprise, and bravery of the Masev-born child resonate locally, nationally, and internationally, emphasizing that the appointment of Prof. Aondover Tarhule as the First African Black President of Illinois State University and the First Nigerian (Tiv, Masev man) to occupy such an esteemed position in the USA is an undeniable proof and testament of the indomitable and distinctive nature of the Masev people.
While appreciating God Almighty for imbuing Prof. Aondover Tarhule with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, Dr Achado wished the university don a remarkable and uncommon success in his four-year tenure as the 21st President (Vice Chancellor) of Illinois State University, USA.
He also expressed the belief that Prof. Tarhule would write his name in gold at the Illinois State University, USA.
