Royal father preaches gospel of peace, unity in Borno

In a bid to foster peace amongst citizens of Dikwa Emirate Council of Borno State, the Shehu of Dikwa, HRH, Alhaji Ibrahim Ibn Umar Ibrahim El Kanemi has convened meeting of all district Heads of Dikwa , ward and village heads under Dikwa district .

The was also targeted at providing a platform for the promotion of peace and strengthening unity as well as consolidating moral values and cultural among his subjects across the emirate.

In a statement issued and signed by Zanna Abubakar Mala Gajibo, the Zanna Wawurma of Dikwa Emirate Council on Sunday and made available to newsmen in Maiduguri, said the royal father convened the meeting at his palace in Dikwa town, the headquarters of Dikwa Local Government Council of the state.

The statement added that the meeting was aimed at strengthening ways to foster peace in their domains and called on his subjects to continue to live in peace for the development of the state.

The Shehu of Dikwa also warned the District, Ward and Village Heads to maintenance peace and unity in their domains as well as check mate the activities of their children hence Borno State is known as the Home of Peace and unity.

He stressed the need for peace co-existence which he said was critical to the development of the state adding that all hand most be on deck to achieve good results, pointing out that, with the Resettlement of the displaced persons now back to their places of abode,.

The royal father also said that government and the civil society organizations among other Humanitarian partners are taking a holistic approach on how to provide them with their immediate and basic needs while commending Governor Babagama Zulum for his developmental projects and welfare to the people of Dikwa.

Ibrahim El Kenami, further, led district, ward and village heads to pray for the state and its leader while appreciating the cooperation and understanding of his people as well as their honouring of his invitation which he said was specifically aimed at fostering the existing peace and unity of Dikwa Emirate Council.
