Russian President Vladimir Putin has strongly condemned the recent US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling them “absolutely unprovoked aggression” with “no basis and no justification”.
Putin made these remarks during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Moscow, just two days after US President Donald Trump ordered the strikes.
“We are making efforts to assist the Iranian people,” Putin said, expressing his country’s commitment to supporting Iran. Araqchi responded by thanking Russia for condemning the US airstrikes, saying Iran’s actions were “legitimate self-defense”.
He also conveyed best wishes to Putin from Iran’s supreme leader and president, adding that “Russia is today on the right side of history and international law”.

Peskov strongly condemned the US attacks, stating, “A new spiral of escalation of tension in the region… we condemn this and express deep regret”.
Peskov also expressed concern over the potential radiation hazard at Iran’s nuclear facilities, saying, “It remains to be seen what happened to Iran’s nuclear facilities, whether there is a radiation hazard”.
Additionally, Peskov confirmed that US President Trump did not inform Putin in detail about the planned strikes, stating, “There was no detailed information
