Safeguarding your greatness – Part 2 By LINDA ASIMOLE ELLAH

are you a learner?

“You have increased my greatness and you have returned and you have comforted me” – Psalms 71:21 (Aramaic Bible in plain English)

In his book, the “Secret of Greatness”, Dr D. K. Olukoya, Founder and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire Ministries (MFM), describes Greatness in the following ways. That: Greatness is to be larger in size than others of the same size; Greatness means be remarkable; Greatness means having an outstanding performance in what you are doing; Greatness means living superior in quality; Greatness means been powerful Greatness means becoming a man or woman of influence; Greatness means having a distinguish personality; Greatness means been glorious.

When the Enemy is Against your Greatness

You can tell when the enemy is against your greatness. Dr Olukoya, outlines what to watch out for that tells you that indeed the enemy is fighting your greatness. Bear in mind that you can use each of these as prayer points to get back your greatness from the hands of the evil one.

When the enemy is against your greatness:

1 A person’s greatness could be stolen from the womb before the person is born. Pray: Any virtue, stolen from me, from the womb, I recover you by fire, in Jesus name. Amen

2 There is Ignorance about one’s destiny. Some persons are ignorant of their destiny. Do are not consciously aware that God wants something special of their lives.

3 There is attack on your health. Sickness could invade a person’s life such that it prevents such a person from their greatness. Pray against all arrows of sicknesses, diseases and infirmities.

4 Diversion. You may be diverted from a place, business, opportunity, job, or position of greatness, just to ensure that you do not become that great person you are meant to be.

5 Seduction. You might be seduced away from your greatness. So, watch your lust.

6 Wrong Marriage. The kind of partner you marry could determine if you achieve your greatness or not.

7 Unprofitable relocation. A person’s greatness is often connected to a place, hence where you relocate to an unprofitable location, you may miss your greatness.

8 Confusion. Be careful when confusion about something seems to set it. You must be sure to seek the face of God regarding that decision. Else, that confusion may lead to missing your greatness.

9 Wrong Foundation. For example, a student who goes ahead to study a wrong subject may build a foundation that makes him or her miss their foundation. The studies may not contribute to what will lead the person to his or her greatness.

What You Must Do to Achieve your Greatness

Develop a fighting spirit. Pray yourself into your greatness and do not relent, for with Christ, you have overcome the world.

Form good habits and become a slave to those habits. Every person is a slave to their habits, but bad habits enslave the future. If you must be a winner all the time, be a slave of good habits. Habits are actions we carry out often and routinely.

Persist until you succeed. “For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity” – Proverbs 24:16

Bible Secrets for Greatness

1 Your presence is the key to your future. Use what you have now to get what you want in the future.

2 Greatness doesn’t begin great. To be a Master, (Mark 10:43-44) you have to be a minister/servant – Luke 16:10-12. No matter how big a door is, it is a small key that opens it.

3. Proverbs 18:16 – “A person’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great people.”

In every life, there is a deposit of greatness. For Joseph, it was a dream; for Rehab, it was hospitality; for Samson, it was his strength; for Daniel, it was a stubborn prayer warrior; for David, it was playing of music that brought him to greatness; for Peter, it was being a fisher man.

Dear friend, God has destined you for greatness. Yes, you! God has already chosen us even before we were born to achieve greatness in life. Let’s depend on God alone for elevation. We don’t have to be afraid of becoming great or the steps we are going to take to be elevated; some are born great, some achieve greatness while some have greatness thrust upon them (prayray.com).

PRAYER
Lord, help me to discover my own greatness.
Father! I am ready for greatness. Let my greatness begin. Lord, I don’t want to remain in the valley- I want to be on the mountaintop, in Jesus name. Amen (Pastor E.A. Adeboye).
