Senator Lamido obtains JAMB forms for 5000 students in Sokoto

The Senator representing Sokoto East Senatorial District, Ibrahim Lamido has registered no fewer than 5,000 students from his constituency for the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

This development which was in continuation of the Senator Lamido’s Education Trust Fund covered all the eight Local Government Areas of Sokoto East Senatorial District.

These Local Government areas are Gwadabawa, Isa, Sabon Birni, Illela, Gada Goronyo, Rabah and Wurno.

Given reasons for the Senator Lamido’s continued interest in education, Yusuf Sada Isah, the Zonal Secretary to lawmaker, reaffirmed that, it was borne out of his desire towards reviving education in the security effected axis of the state which he represents currently.

Yusuf, who said the Senator is deeply concerned about a better tomorrow for all the young people of the axis, added that, he continued to demonstrate this passion as seen in the millions of naira been spend on education of his people.

According to him, less than a month ago, the Senator gave over 5000 students from his axis a support of N50,000 each amounting to over 200 million naira.

In his advise to beneficiaries of the free JAMB forms, Senator Lamido urged them to study hard, adding that they will obe studying courses of their choices in the University when they passed the examination.

The Senator, further, appealed to all and sundry in Sokoto East Senatorial district to disclose vital information to security agencies, as that will help in ending the banditry, kidnapping and other forms of crimes in the region.

In their reactions to the gesture, some of the beneficiaries thanked Senator Lamido for making such a huge impact on the lives of the people of the senatorial district in less than a year in office.
