Socio-economic situation: Hope not lost in Nigeria – PDP’s Jandor

PDP Governorship Candidate for Lagos State, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (a.k.a Jandor)

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate for Lagos in 2023, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran, has called on the citizens to keep hope alive and remain optimistic about the future of the country.

Adediran made the call in Lagos on Wednesday in his speech to mark the Eid el-Fitr.

He observed that hope had not lost in the country and Lagos State in spite of the current socio-economic challenges.

Adediran said that the self-discipline created by the Ramadan fasting encouraged showing compassion towards fellow human beings who could not feed because of poverty.

“The fasting period makes people appreciate what it means to go without food for the whole day, thereby understanding the impact of hunger on millions of poor people in the state and the country.

“We should not abandon the valuable lessons of the Ramadan fasting; rather we should internalise its lessons as we anticipate a positive change in our experience of governance,” he said.(NAN)
